Giulia Bini
Giulia Bini (b. 1984, Italy) is a curator and researcher working at the intersection between visual art, architecture and media. Her interests in media theory include the implications of an epistemological shift in science and technology, and its effects on interdisciplinary and emerging artistic practices.
As a member of the ZKM Zentrum für Kunst und Medien Karlsruhe curatorial team from 2014 to 2017, she worked on the exhibitions Infosphere and Exo-Evolution, 2015-2016, part of the GLOBALE program, and she co-curated the exhibition Hybrid Layers 2017-2018. She has conducted research at the Whitechapel Gallery and RIBA, London, 2013; and at the Centre George Pompidou, Paris, 2014. She was a member of the curatorial board of ViaFarini DOCVA, Milan, 2012-2013; and has collaborated with institutions among which Pro Helvetia and ZhDK, Zurich, 2013-2014. In June 2017, she received a Ph.D. from IUAV, Istituto Universitario di Architettura, Venice.
